Interview with Priscilla Pelusso in El País
EXANTE partner Priscilla Pelusso participated in the El País newspaper article “Mergers and acquisitions with a good first half: which were the most notable?”

Priscilla indicated that in the first half of the year there were 22 merger and acquisition transactions identified — all in Uruguayan companies — that have total control of the share package, or failing that, of the vast majority of the package.
The technology sector continues in first place since last year thanks to the fact that 40% of total transactions in Uruguay come from that sector.
The remaining 60% is distributed between agribusiness and companies related to domestic consumption, such as food wholesale, pharmacies and supermarkets.
We always make an estimate regarding the size of the companies, but with technology companies it becomes more complex because they may have operations outside of Uruguay and you do not know exactly how much the company invoices.” However, he indicated that in the rest of the areas, they estimate “that we are above US$ 200 million in terms of mergers and acquisitions. Last year we estimated US$300 million and perhaps this year we will exceed it.
