The impact of COVID on Uruguayan companies
At EXANTE we have LINCE™, a tool that draws on the balance sheets published in the Nation's Internal Audit and that is very effective for work in various areas such as M&A, benchmarking of competitors and in the prospecting and analysis of potential clients or strategic suppliers.
It also allows us to analyze the economic-financial performance of companies from multiple perspectives. On this occasion, we are sharing a report that examines the performance of companies in our country in the year the pandemic broke out, based on a sample of almost 1,700 large and medium-sized companies.
How much was the profitability of companies affected by the arrival of COVID? How many companies had losses in 2020? Were adjustments observed in the companies' structural expenses?
