ACDE Economic Forum | Tamara Schandy

ACDE Economic Forum | Tamara Schandy

This Wednesday a new edition of the traditional Economic Forum was held, organized by the Christian Association of Business Leaders (ACDE).

On this occasion, the forum comes at the culmination of a year that began still in the midst of the covid-19 pandemic and that a few months later left the health emergency behind, but added the war in Ukraine as a permanent crisis, starting the invasion of Russia.

With that backdrop, how is Uruguay's economy at the end of 2022, which, on the other hand, is the third year of the government of President Luis Lacalle Pou and the multicolor coalition? What are the prospects for 2023 that we already have ahead of us?

On these points, among others, three prominent economists and consultants spoke: Javier de Haedo, director of the Observatory of the Economic Situation of the Catholic University of Uruguay, Tamara Schandy, partner at Exante, and Alfonso Capurro, partner at CPA Ferrere and member of the Fiscal Advisory Council of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
